Success is not about where you work, but why you work.
Celebrating Women Changemakers. Honouring Entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurship is not just about building a business - it is about following your passion, chasing a purpose, and making a difference. It is spotting a problem few are solving, taking a leap of faith, creating something meaningful that outlives you, and learning every step of the way.
As part of Womenâs History Month at Acharya's Bangalore B-School (ABBS), I had the privilege of joining an inspiring conversation on entrepreneurship alongside co-speakers Neeraja Ganesh and Ashok Pamidi, engaging with an audience eager for meaningful dialogue.
Neeraja introduced the concept of T-shaped leadership, highlighting the balance between deep expertise and adaptability. Ashok, a vocal male ally, highlighted the 3Ms that shape womenâs careers - Marriage, Motherhood, and Mobility- and the importance of conscious decision-making.
đĄ My Entrepreneurial Journey:
I shared my recent transition into entrepreneurship, driven by a deep genuine passion and purpose: Bridging the communication skill gap with Human Skills and Values.
đĄ My Message to Aspiring Entrepreneurs:
¡ Entrepreneurship is more than financial success.
¡ It is about identifying and solving real problems.
¡ It is about creating value for society (e.g., Deskit for education and health, a social impact project).
¡ When PASSION aligns with PURPOSE, success follows.
¡ Beyond ideas & ex*****on, an effective communication mindset is key
¡ Indiaâs booming startup ecosystem and reverse migration prove that success isnât about where you work, but why.
đ The lineup of events at ABBS was a celebration of Inclusion
One of the most heartwarming moments was witnessing all-women prize winners across faculty, students, administration, and the housekeeping staff. The loudest cheers? From the male allies in the room. True inclusion is not just about representationâit is about active participation and support. Cheers to the Pragathi Womenâs Wing.
⨠Honouring Entrepreneurs
In a touching tribute, we were honoured with garlands, shawls, and personalized plaques - gestures of respect and gratitude that made the experience truly special.
A warm thank you to Thilaka Narayanan and the ABBS Bangalore Pragathi Womenâs Wing.
