A few years ago a group of seasoned industry leaders were sitting around a table talking about the challenges of scaling education. With a lack of quality teaching instruction becoming more and more problematic, we got into a heated debate about the power of technology as a tool to augment learning. Fast forward a few years and we have the birth of Pengala, a company focused on building great lear
ning technology; and Vidyanext, its flagship retail tuitions program.
• Vidyanext is founded by two seasoned technology & education Industry leaders:
Pradeep Singh, founder and co-chairman, is also the founder of two successful Bangalore based technology companies, Aditi (www.aditi.com) and Talisma. Prior to that Pradeep had spent nine years in various management positions at Microsoft, including General Manager of the Windows 95 mobile services group. Pradeep is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, a recipient of IIT Delhi's Distinguished Alumni Service Award (2006), and recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum (Davos). Will Poole, founder and co-chairman of Pengala is also currently the co-chairman on Ncomputing (www.ncomputing.com). In an earlier role, Will was a Senior VP at Microsoft running the Windows® Client business, delivering about 30 percent of global corporate revenues for Microsoft.
• We have created a unique personalized learning methodology where we teach using a combination of teachers and tablet-based learning technology. This methodology has been successfully implemented in two schools and in Vidyanext retail coaching centers.
