National agribusiness conference-2015 This page is dedicated for the National Agri Business Conference 2105 to be held at IIPMB. We are associated with AACSB and EFMD.

IIPM-B is an autonomous organization promoted by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry-Government of India, to facilitate management education, research, training and consultancy for the Plantation & the associated Agribusiness sector. It is Co-sponsored by the Commodity Boards of India viz., Coffee Board, Tea Board, Rubber Board, Spices Board and Agri-Plantation Associations & Industries. With its

unique course content and mode of training, IIPMB stands unique among the B-Schools in the whole of Asia. The Institute is today a Centre of excellence which acts as a think tank and an intellectual resource base for the plantation and associated agri-business sector. It is an exclusive sector specific business school based on a new model of intensive institute-industry interaction. Over the last 24 years, IIPM as Sectorial School of Agri-business, Commodity, and Plantation (ACP) Management has become the global leader in educating and empowering individuals committed to advancing the public interest in ACP. IIPMB vision is to create a strong intellectual foundation in teaching, executive development programs and outreach for community accomplishment; position the Institute to be international premier research intensive institution in ACP. Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization of the agribusiness sector through education& research, the centre for agribusiness and plantation Management (C.A.P.M) has pioneered national agribusiness conference at Indian Institute of Plantation Management-Bangalore, India. This will going to be held on 6-7 FEB.2015. The theme of the conference is “Agribusiness-2.0- The Next Level”



The work of this theme aims to highlight the best and next level of agriculture issues, policies, partnerships, technology collaborations, building capability through global exposure in order to strengthen our hidden potential of Indian agriculture. The Conference targets academic researchers and practitioners whose main interests are the issues of agribusiness Management, especially those with a focus on the next level of agribusiness. IIPMB invites academicians and practitioners to contribute papers on any of the topics related to Agribusiness and Allied Industries.

Valedictory speech By Director: Overall, the National Conference on Agribusiness-2.0 was successful both in attracting participants from a wide range of stakeholders and in building networks of collaboration among them. Beyond the educational and informational aspect of the conference, participants had the opportunity to meet each other, exchange views and ideas, and create prospects for further collaboration among them in the field of Agribusiness.

Following the first session (Inaugural session), the panel discussion attracted valuable contributions on the prospects and challenges of Next Level Agribusiness, both by the panellists and the audience. The panel was composed of representatives of the , academic and industry community.The multidimensional orientations of the panelists provided a wide range of views and approaches on the issues of Agribusiness-2.0. The views of the panelists triggered a fruitful discussion with the participation of the audience. Nevertheless, as the panelists and the audience noted, the Importance of agriculture in order to feed 9bn people by 2020, to discuss those shortfalls and propose solutions to overcome them during the conference, demonstrates a positive progress for the promotion of a sustainable development framework in all aspects of the Agribusiness.
