Media9 School After breaking barriers and creating history in television journalism in the country, we will now create history in the education of television journalism.

When we hire students for TV9 Karnataka and NEWS9, there is one pattern we find common. Most of the students with degrees in journalism and mass communication don’t have practical knowledge about how a news channel actually works. Colleges teaching journalism mostly focus on theory that’s ages-old and not used anywhere these days. Many such students are turned away at news channels on the pretext

that they don’t have any experience. The main reason why they fail to get good jobs is that their colleges don’t teach them the reality in the world of television media. At TV9 Karnataka and NEWS9, we believe that all those with passion for journalism have it in them to make it big in the television news industry. That’s the main reason we hire and train 4-5 people with no previous experience every year. Most of these people have earned a big name in television media, spread across various news channels of India. Since it’s not possible to train more than 5 raw talents every year, we have started MEDIA9 School of Journalism, which focuses only on training creative and passionate individuals for news. The course prepares them for any kind of situation that might arise in any news channel, anywhere. Students will be selected on the basis of an entrance examination and an interview followed by that.
