Congratulations antimattr on being selected for Y Combinator’s Fall 2026 batch! 🥳

Scaler Innovation Lab is home antimattrh of startups founded by some of the most driven names building in India today, and antimattr joined the lab this year while working on an AI-first hardware interface for voice productivity, a set of AI-powered wearables that let people think, talk, and work without ever having to type.

Founders Sridipto Ghosh and Sirsho Chakraborty believe voice was how humans communicated for most of history long before we ever wrote anything down, and they are building the hardware, firmware and operating system to bring that back into how we use technology every day.

Backed by Nikhil Kamath’s WTFund, antimattr now joins Y Combinator to scale what they have built.
Our students had the opportunity to sit with the founders, watch up close what building hardware at the frontier of AI actually looks like, and understand what it takes to get selected by Y Combinator.

Having people building at the cutting edge of AI within arm’s reach is a privilege we don’t take lightly, and we hope every student who crossed paths with them carries a little of that ambition forward.

At 20, in their third year of college, these two students just sold the startup they built in two years, for ₹6.5 million!

Here’s how Advith Sharma and Arsh Gupta got here 👇

It began over Diwali in 2024. Advith was home, applying for internships, when a family friend, an insurance intermediary, walked him through his day. Everything ran on spreadsheets and scattered WhatsApp chats.

His father had also spent three decades in insurance product formation, so this wasn’t foreign to him. He tinkered with the problem statement.

He and his childhood friend Arsh spent the next 4 to 5 months studying the industry, sitting through 200+ meetings with agents and brokers. Advith even cleared the Licentiate Exam from the Insurance Institute of India.

→ They also won first place and ₹1 lakh at an SST startup pitch
→ Flow, their CRM platform, started as 5 separate tools before becoming 1
→ Flow AI crossed 10,000+ interactions in 25 days, drawing international users
→ AetherLabs crossed ₹1 lakh in monthly recurring revenue

Plum’s co-founder Abhishek Poddar came across what they’d built and reached out on LinkedIn. That conversation turned into both of them joining Plum as Interns under Atul Mishra on Plum Personal, serving 600,000+ insured lives.

They kept running AetherLabs too, until an individual operator deep in insurtech came to the table, and an acquisition deal came together over a few coffees.
AetherLabs has now been acquired for ₹6.5 million. Advith and Arsh still hold a combined 10% stake, and are reshaping the AetherLabs name into something new.

What if you could learn exactly how a system built for millions of users actually works, straight from an Executive VP at JioHotstar?

We got to witness that firsthand on our campus last week, when Jitendra Agrawal spent time teaching our students Network Architecture.

The classroom was packed, and every single student was paying undivided attention. We heard from so many of our students afterwards that they learned things they could never have picked up from a textbook or a YouTube video, simply because this was coming from someone who has actually built and run systems at that scale.

We’re glad our students got this exposure and even more thrilled that Jitendra will be continuing these sessions through the semester, covering everything from server side considerations for scale, to the economics of cloud tech, to building for failures. Really looking forward to it!

On August 30, 150+ founders and 20+ VCs and angel investors will walk into Scaler School of Technology for SAIS 26! 🚀

SAIS 26 is the Startup and Investors Summit, our demo day where founders pitch, investors listen, and conversations turn into real opportunities.

But before that day arrives, we wanted everyone in that room, our students included, to be fully ready for it.

That is why we are running 5 masterclasses through the week before the summit, each one taught by someone who has actually lived what they are teaching, from founders and investors to lawyers and finance experts who work with startups on a daily basis!

That is the scale of SAIS 26, the Startup and Investors Summit, being organised at Scaler School of Technology this August 30!

Through the day, founders and investors will share the same room for pitch sessions, panel conversations, a fireside chat and open networking.

For our newest batch of 2030, this summit lands in their first month on campus. Before they even settle in, they will go through a Startup Masterclass Series covering idea validation, fundraising, MVP building, legal foundations and finance, taught by people actively working in these areas.

This 21-year-old helps train some of the biggest frontier AI models in the world!

Here’s how Arka got here 👇

Arka grew up in a small village in Birbhum, West Bengal. His family didn’t own a mobile phone until he was in Class 10. He didn’t have one fixed career goal, but he always wanted to make an impact.

COVID brought him his first phone and laptop. He wasn’t chasing software engineering, he just wanted to understand how computers worked, and that curiosity never really let up.

He scored close to 97 percentile in JEE, enough for NIT Jammu’s CS program, and also cleared SST’s NSET exam. He picked SST, convinced by its industry-first curriculum, and walked in with zero coding experience.

→ Founding member of SST’s Open Source Club, helped launch BuildVerse, a 24-hour national hackathon
→ Spent weekends travelling to hackathons, sometimes as far as Maharashtra
→ Built Tresco, his first full-stack app, to spotlight India’s lesser-known towns and festivals

Then came Scaler AI Labs, through a referral from Mrinal Bhattacharya, his web development instructor, who’d watched him build for two years. He interviewed the next day and had an offer letter that same night!

Today, he’s a Member of Technical Staff Intern on the RL Environment team, building the reinforcement learning environments used to train and evaluate frontier AI models. The team’s grown from 15 to 150+ since he joined.

He’s also been selected for the Apple Developer Academy cohort in Italy, and no longer depends on his parents for his own expenses, now contributing to his college fees alongside his father.

4 internships. 3 countries. A startup on the side. All before his final year of college.

Here’s how Sourashis got there 👇

Growing up in Barrackpore, on the outskirts of Kolkata, Sourashis never had one fixed career goal, just a pull toward understanding how things worked. Code entered the picture in Class 7 through BASIC, but it took the COVID lockdown for him to properly teach himself Python.

He won a hackathon worth $5,000, hit the semifinals of an AI hackathon out of Russia, and placed third in a GeeksforGeeks All India challenge. He cleared JEE and had IISER as a backup, but he knew early on that the conventional research and engineering path wasn’t for him.

He found SST and was drawn to the curriculum built around software engineering and industry exposure. He joined on a 50% merit scholarship!

→ First internship at Dukaan, then Emergent, building developer tools for their AI agents
→ Qualified for ICPC Regionals
→ Co-founded Delta Education, scaling its revenue 3 to 5x
→ Interned at Neurowyzr, Singapore, at a ₹2 Lakh a month stipend
→ Placed Top 100 globally at the Meta Open Env Hackathon, got into Y Combinator Startup School India

Then came AI Studios, through campus placements. 3 rounds of tough technical interviews later, he’s now working as a Forward Deployed Engineer Intern at this Dubai-based AI startup, earning ₹1 Lakh a month, with an Intern-to-PPO offer already on the table!

His advice to juniors? Explore everything, don’t fear failure, and learn how to learn. That’s the skill that stays useful no matter what changes.
