Hello, Christities🌲🌲🌲

Litscape is back with another theme to engage the rest of the month with one thing most of us love, ‘nature’.

While we admire the blooming flowers, the never-ending oceans, the bush of animals and forests, we remain silent in terms of the abuse we inflict on the nature or the ones around us. We realize that there is a crisis out there happening which needs to be stopped.

*‘Mercy on our Environment’* will be all about embracing back the nature we have discarded as just a resource. It’s time to look at our disastrous actions and feel the nature once again as a mode of healing and friend because NO MORE! Its time to confront all the abuse being inflicted upon nature and share how that can be brought to an end.

Categories for this month:-
1. Scribbler: short Stories, poetry, write ups 🖊
2. Artisans: Doodling, art, craft, etc. 🖍
3. Clickit: Photograph and photo journals 📷
4. Thespian: Dance, mime, music and spoken word 🎭

The submission gate will close when the clock strikes midnight on 28th of November.

The Nobel Prize in Literature for 2020 is awarded to the American poet Louise Glück “for her unmistakable poetic voice that with austere beauty makes individual existence universal”.

Louise Glück made her debut in 1968 with Firstborn, and was soon acclaimed as one of the most prominent poets in American contemporary literature.

In honour and appreciation of Glück's poetry, a reading will be conducted by Shared Shelf. The session, moderated by Dr. Meghna Mudaliar, and presented by a group of students from the department will take place from 2 PM - 3 PM on Microsoft Teams this Tuesday, on 20 October, 2020.

Are you spooky or sweet?

Hello Christites! 👻

Trick or treat might be a little difficult this year, but that doesn't mean we can't still have fun! This month, Christribute brings to you Ghosts and Ghouls, a Halloween-inspired face painting event. 🎃

You can be anyone you want! A friendly ghost? Casper, it is! A wonderfully mad milliner? We love the Hatter! Or maybe magic is more your thing, in which case, hello Harry! (Or Neville, Ginny, Hermione...we love them all).

So grab your brushes, clean your mirror, and get ready to paint your face! 🎨🖌

Entries will need to be submitted in the form of a photograph, but we will also need a recording of you painting yourself (just to ensure the work is all yours). Top 5 entries will be posted to our Instagram, as well as the Christribute blog page.

Submission email - [email protected]

Final submission date - 25th October 2020
