The fewer decisions you make, the more energy you have.

That is the whole idea behind decision fatigue.

Every choice you make in a day pulls from the same tank of energy.

Deciding what to wear pulls from that tank.

Deciding what to eat pulls from that tank.

Deciding which email to answer first pulls from that tank.

By the time a real decision shows up, the tank is already running low.

A study of over 1,100 parole cases found that judges said yes to parole far more often right after a break, and far less as the day went on.

The judges were the same and the facts were the same.

The only thing that changed was how much energy they had left to think it through.

So the fewer small decisions you make in a day, the more energy you save for the ones that actually matter.

This is why some leaders wear the same thing every single day.

This is why some leaders block their calendar so they are not deciding, meeting by meeting, what to do next.

This is why the best decision you make all day is rarely the last one.

Protect your energy the same way you protect your time.

Make fewer small decisions wherever you can.

Save your best thinking for what actually deserves it.

To be a great storyteller you have to be a good public speaker

Storytelling is the most powerful component of public speaking.

The most memorable speeches are built on personal stories.

Even 4500 years ago, stories shaped how people thought and acted.

It’s in our DNA to listen, feel, and be moved by a story.

Storytelling is the most influential tool in the world.

Had a great time delivering a practical workshop on the topic - "Evaluate to Motivate" at PMIBC Toastmasters club. The budding toastmasters learned the nuances of Evaluation. Thanks to DTM Vanitha Rangarajan for inviting me to this session.

"Once Upon A Time" was a session totally devoted to the Art & Craft of Story Telling. Parents, children, and professionals learned the importance and fundamentals of storytelling in their lives. They delivered incredible stories together. There was drama, fun, and learning in the whole day session. Time just flew by. The highlight of the session was when the participants stepped out into the street, met people, spoke to them, and video recorded them. They captured their story and presented it with pictures and videos end to end.
