A colorful and inspiring program featuring Painting & Drawing Competition, Book/Poetry Reading, and Storytelling for senior citizens was organized by the District Administration Pulwama under the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana at UMI School Awantipora.

The event was conducted with the support of the District Social Welfare Office Pulwama and aimed to encourage creativity, confidence, and active participation among senior citizens. Students also actively participated in the program, interacting with the elders and taking part in different activities, which created a lively and engaging atmosphere.

During the event, senior citizens shared their experiences, poetry, and life stories, which greatly inspired the students. The program also highlighted the importance of respecting and valuing elders, reminding everyone that the wisdom, experience, and guidance of older generations are a precious treasure for society.

Overall, the event served as a meaningful platform for intergenerational learning and respect, strengthening the bond between students and senior citizens while promoting cultural and educational engagement.
