On this deeply auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, we gathered — not merely as students of an artform, but as seekers on a lifelong journey of discipline, devotion, and discovery.
In the quiet sanctity of the moment, we offered our prayers, performed the traditional Guru Poojan, and sought the blessings of our guiding light — our revered Guru, Shama Tai.
To stand in her presence is to witness a legacy of wisdom, dedication, and grace passed down through generations.
Her silence teaches, her gaze corrects, and her words illuminate the most intricate truths — not just of art, but of life itself.
A guru is not just a teacher; a guru is a Tattva — a principle, a force that shapes the formless, that nurtures potential into precision, and confusion into clarity.
They see what we cannot, believe in what we are yet to become, and remind us that true knowledge is not just taught, but awakened.
In the world of classical arts, where tradition meets transcendence, the guru is both the anchor and the sky.
Today, as we bowed our heads in reverence, we also raised our spirits in gratitude — for every correction, every encouragement, every moment of silence that spoke volumes.
May we forever remain deserving of their trust, and may our every step reflect the wisdom we have been so unconditionally given.
