Looks like CMA had an unexpected visitor last night! A rather handsome Hawkmoth (Theretra species) decided to drop in for a late-night inspection—and Mr Binoy was lucky enough to spot it!👀

This is no ordinary moth. Hawkmoths are among the fastest-flying insects in the world, capable of speeds of nearly 48 km/h! They can hover almost perfectly still while using their amazingly long proboscis to sip nectar from deep flowers—much like a tiny hummingbird.

And here’s the really fascinating part: their powerful wings require so much energy that they actually warm up their flight muscles by vibrating their wings before take-off!

So, while most of us were fast asleep, our little nocturnal guest was busy flying, hovering, dining and perhaps conducting a surprise night inspection of the Academy! 😄

Thank you, Mr Binoy, for being our official “Night Watcher” and spotting this fascinating visitor!

We are pleased to share a noteworthy achievement of our Grade 10 students at Shark Mind 2026, an entrepreneurship programme held at Navrachana International School, Vadodara.

Four of our Secondary School students—Arnav Singh Gautam, Kavya Manish Gakre, Dhruv Mani and Vivaan Vasania—participated in the challenging three-stage competition. Significantly, while most participating schools had fielded Senior Secondary students, our Grade 10 team competed with confidence and distinction.

Among 14 participating schools, CMA received a Special Recommendation for the PowerPoint Presentation, making this a particularly encouraging achievement for our young innovators.

The programme provided students with a platform to develop entrepreneurial thinking, strategic vision, creativity, presentation skills and leadership, reinforcing our belief that education must prepare children not merely to seek opportunities, but to create them.

We place on record our appreciation for the students’ dedication, preparation and confident participation, which have brought credit to the Academy.

A special word of appreciation goes to Ms Rashmi Pathan, who accompanied and mentored the students and provided valuable guidance throughout the event.

This achievement is a small but significant step towards nurturing CMA’s future-ready, confident and creative young minds.

WHEN A TEACHER MAKES WAVES, STUDENTS LEARN TO SWIM!

We are delighted to share a moment of pride from the Chanderbala Modi Academy family! Ms Gitanjali has secured First Position in the 50-metre Freestyle at the State Masters Swimming Competition held in Surat, Gujarat.

This is more than a sporting achievement—it is a living lesson for our children. Her success demonstrates the power of fitness, discipline, perseverance, confidence and a never-give-up attitude.
When children see their teachers actively pursuing excellence beyond the classroom, they learn that learning never stops, fitness matters, and age is never a barrier to achievement.

Let us celebrate Gitanjali’s inspiring victory—and encourage our children to dive into their passions, embrace challenges and keep swimming towards excellence!
