One of our brilliant student, Kamran Mushtaq Sheikh has excelled in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) by securing an outstanding All India Rank (AIR) 516 among nearly 1.83 lakh aspirants from across the country, an achievement that reflects exceptional intellect, perseverance, and scientific aptitude.

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) are among India's most prestigious institutions, nurturing the nation's brightest minds in basic sciences and research while producing future scientists, innovators, and leaders who contribute to premier organisations such as ISRO, DRDO, BARC, and leading research institutions across the world.

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."
With the aim of promoting a healthy mind and a healthy body, the students and staff of HSS Khiram, along with CRPF 116 Battalion Pahalgam and SOG Srigufwara, observed the 12th International Day of Yoga in a serene and inspiring atmosphere. The programme served as a reminder that yoga transcends boundaries and brings people together in the pursuit of peace, harmony and holistic well-being.

The Principal and staff appreciated the wholehearted participation of students and security personnel and emphasized that regular practice of yoga can lead to a healthier, happier and more productive society.

Today, a fruitful Parent-Teacher Meeting was successfully held at HSS Khiram, witnessing active and enthusiastic participation from the parents of our students. The presence and cooperation of parents reflected their deep concern for the academic progress and overall development of their children.On this occasion, worthy Principal, Mr. Mohd Amin Bhat, addressed the meeting with great insight and dedication. He highlighted the vital role of parents and teachers working together to shape a bright and responsible future for students. He emphasized that regular interaction between school and home is essential for nurturing discipline, values, and academic excellence.
During the meeting, Principal Sir also expressed serious concern over the growing menace of drug abuse among youth. He urged parents to remain vigilant, maintain open communication with their children, and guide them towards positive activities and a healthy lifestyle.

A one-day seminar on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and his relevance in contemporary times was conducted under the guidance of worthy Principal Mohd Amin Bhat.
Four student panels participated in the discussion and shared their views on Ambedkar’s philosophy, constitutional vision, and its relevance in present-day India.
The session was moderated by teacher Mr. Zaiem Bhat, who ensured active participation and meaningful exchange of ideas among students.
Students spoke on themes like equality, social justice, and the importance of constitutional values. The discussion remained engaging and thoughtful throughout.
The programme concluded on a positive note, reflecting a healthy academic environment and encouraging students to think critically about social issues.
