Our school's U-14 Football Team, proudly representing District Anantnag, concluded a memorable campaign at the Subroto Cup 2026 Provincial Championship held at St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Baramulla, finishing as Runners-up after a thrilling final against Imamia Public School (IPS), Watergam, Baramulla.
Heartiest congratulations to Imamia Public School (IPS), Watergam on their well-deserved triumph. The final lived up to every expectation, with both teams producing football of the highest quality. After an intensely fought contest, the championship was decided in a penalty shootout, where IPS held their nerve to prevail 5–4. We wish the deserving champions every success in the next stage of the tournament and hope they continue to make Jammu & Kashmir proud.
Our young footballers, meanwhile, displayed exceptional skill, resilience, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the championship. Their impressive journey to the final included:
4–1 victory over Ayesha Ali Academy (AAA), Kulgam (District Kulgam)
4–3 victory over Delhi Public School, Srinagar (District Srinagar)
5–0 victory over Shah Hamdan Memorial Institute, Shopian (District Shopian)
Although the trophy narrowly slipped away in the penalty shootout, our boys won admiration for their outstanding performances, unwavering fighting spirit, and exemplary teamwork.
Congratulations to Team Hanfia on a remarkable campaign, and once again, heartfelt congratulations to Imamia Public School (IPS), Watergam on becoming the Subroto Cup 2026 Provincial Champions. After opening their campaign with a commanding 4–1 victory over Kulgam and then edging past Delhi Public School Srinagar, representing District Srinagar, 4–3 in a thrilling encounter, our young footballers have now produced yet another dominant display, defeating Shah Hamdan Memorial Institute, Shopian, representing District Shopian, by a resounding 5–0 margin.
