A dog barks outside, and suddenly you’re back there —
reminded of her dog,
and that lump in your throat starts choking you again.

Everyone in the world suddenly turns into a psychologist.
“Go for a walk.”
“Join the gym.”
“Meditate.”
“Develop a hobby.”
Blah blah blah.

No one stops to think —
I live on the same planet as you.
I know all this.
It’s not that simple.
Sometimes it’s not about doing —
it’s about surviving another day.

Here’s a friendly suggestion — not advice, just care.
Because the battle is yours, and the warrior is you.

When feelings choke you,
find something soft — a cozy cloth or blanket to hold.
Sit in a quiet corner for a while.
The pressure, the stillness — sometimes they help soothe
what words can’t.

Stay hydrated.
If stress-eating helps you, do it — but maybe just once a day.
Sugar can soothe, I understand.
So keep a little sweetness ready,
and stock up on sugar-free treats for those specific days.
