Ms. Harsh*ta, Department of Computer Science, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, achieved a remarkable national-level distinction by being selected through a highly competitive multi-stage selection process organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, for Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) ’26 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The selection process began with a nationwide quiz involving over 50 lakh participants, followed by rigorous rounds of essay writing, presentation, and interviews, which culminated in the selection of only 3,000 candidates at the national level. From among these, Harsh*ta was among the 45 students selected from across Punjab and 1 of only 2 students from Guru Nanak Dev University to represent the state at this prestigious national platform.

She presented her vision on the “Fit Bharat, Hit Bharat” track, sharing her ideas on the future of sports in India before eminent domain experts including Shri Leander Paes, tennis stalwart, and Shri Pullela Gopichand, badminton great.

Her selection through this rigorous and highly competitive process and the opportunity to present her vision on such a national platform is a moment of immense pride for herself, the Department of Computer Science, and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
