Playing a body puzzle activity aligns well with the principles of the Reggio Emilia educational approach, which emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning and the importance of the environment as the third teacher. In this activity, children are actively involved in exploring and understanding their own bodies through direct manipulation and discovery. By matching body parts to their correct positions and learning facts about each one, children engage in self-directed learning, fostering curiosity and critical thinking. The collaborative nature of the Reggio approach is also reflected as children might work together, discuss, and share their discoveries, enhancing social and communication skills.
