KARMA
CHAPTER-1
"Standing in front of the main door of my own house in the middle of the night with regret makes me remind all my EXPECTATIONS which kept me alive for half of my life. My name is Andrew, and this is my story."
FLASHBACK
Andrew is a common middle-class man who has lived his life before he got married like a free bird as it said a life of freedom not because the woman that came into his life was a dominating partner or troublemaker as generally, boys think. His life changed because he was no more a boy who can demand his parents anything but became a man who was now going to take responsibility for his family and its needs. It was not easy for him to transfer himself to such a fast.
Andrew was not able to balance his professional and personal life and generally use to come frustrated and angry. He used to take out his frustration on his old, retired parents because he started thinking of them as burdens and just fulfilled his responsibilities towards them because he thought they will eventually die one day because they were old.
On one side, Andrew was behaving very badly with his parents, another side, his wife Jessica was loving and caring to her in-laws as she was an orphan, and she found her parents in her in-laws. She used to feel bad and was quite disappointed with Andrews's behavior towards his parents. She tried her level best to make him understand his sin, but he uses to gradually call off any conversation. Eventually, Jessica stop talking about it but became more loving and caring towards her in-laws.
With time as Andrews’s parents were old and weak, they became ill and were on the dead bed but till then humanity completely eloped from Andrews’s heart. He was not ready to take responsibility for their treatment as he taught that one day they had to die. Jessica fought, begged him or you can say tried her level best to make him understand and stop him from doing that sin, but He paid no heed to her pleadings. At least Andrews’s parents died but took a promise from Jessica to keep Andrew's side as they love their son a lot.
Then Jessica was with Andrew only because of the love she had for her late in-laws and to keep their last wish. There was no love left in their relationship. Andrew was doing everything to become successful in life living behind everything whether it’s love, humanity, or even the sense of right or wrong. On one side Andrew was becoming successful but other side Jessica was going through depression and was losing interest in living life.
At that time came a ray of hope in Jessica s life as she got pregnant and eventually find her reason for life. Andrew was very happy, he taught he is finally everything was going as he planned his life. But everything changed as Jessica gave birth to a boy but died on the same day due to mental stress and pregnancy complications.
Andrew left his son to servants to take care of and again started earning money thinking that he will fulfill all his son’s wishes so that he also become a successful man in the future Andrew have a secure and happy life after his retirement with his son.
Andrew’s son Sam was a man who lived his whole life without love and concern. He always saw his father only running money. This leads him to become a man who only thinks of loss or profit whether it’s in his business or his relationships. And then came the time when Andrew must face karma and get punished for his sins. Sam saw that his father has become old and is of no use to him but just an extra burden on him, so he threw him out with no mercy in the middle of the night out of frustration.
FLASHBACK ENDS
So, here was Andrew guilty and ashamed of his behavior all his life with his parents, his wife, and with his son too. But now nothing can be changed as God gave him hundreds of chances to correct himself, but he was blind by money and forgot its not money that leads to happiness but our actions towards others, humanity towards people, and love for our family which keep us happy and make us successful in real sense.
