Internal Quality Assurance Cell@ SD College ,Ambala Cantt successfully hosted the One Day National Conference on Paradigms of Institutional Accreditation in India in collaboration with National Assessment & Accreditation Council, Bengaluru on 21 Oct,2022 at Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt. Inaugural session was inaugurated by Dr. Rajinder Singh, Director , IQAC , SDC & honorable chief guest Dr. Krishan Kant, Principal, Aggarwal College, Ballabhgarh along with Team IQAC,SDC by lighting the lamp before Goddess Saraswati. The Conference was applauded for four concurrent sessions, two Technical sessions besides Inaugural & Valedictory Session. The Conference comprised of incisive and insightful discussions on various facets of NAAC Accreditation Process, Enhancing Quality Culture in higher education institutions and NEP-2020. The views expressed and explored on this platform by the resource persons and paper presenters made the audience rethink ideas to enhance the quality of education and train the youth with the skills required in 21st century. In his inaugural address, honorable chief guest Dr. Krishan Kant very minutely explained the paradigms of NAAC accreditation process in the light of NEP recommendations with special focus on 64 kalas mentioned in ancient Indian traditions. He very beautifully explained the metrics which are deleted from the revised accreditation framework. Inaugural session was followed with Technical session-I in which esteemed resource person Prof (Dr.) Anita Rani Dua , Professor Biochemistry and Director Women study centre , k*k gave an excellent coverage to NEP 2020 with special focus on Multidisciplinary and holistic education. She emphasized that objective of NEP-2020 is to Foster Quality Education &
Enhance Employability of graduates. She further said that the overall objectives of the Multidisciplinary Education is to facilitate new possibilities for learners . In Technical Session-II, participants were enlightened with scholarly works on the subject in the form of paper presentations by the delegates. All the resource persons & paper presenters conducted very engaging and fruitful sessions. All the doubts of participants were taken up by the resource persons in the respective query sessions. Conference was concluded with report presentation by Ms. Chhavi Kiran in the valedictory Session.
The Conference owes its success to the able guidance of Principal Dr. Rajinder Singh, and the hard work put in by the entire IQAC team led by Dr. Sushil Kumar, Ms. Amandeep, Dr. Girdhar Gopal , Dr. Gulshan Kumar, Ms. Kavleen Bharej, Ms. Chhavi Kiran, Ms. Aarti Arora, Dr Satinder Verma, Dr Prem Singh, Dr. Rajesh Phor, Dr Satbir,Ms. Zeenat Madan , Ms. Leena , Ms. Shaina, Ms. Swati, Ms. Tanvi & student volunteers.
