Thomas High school was founded by late Mr. Edward Soares in 1923 for the education of youth in goa. After his death the school was handed over to the patriach of Goa in 1956. Later in 1962, it was handed over to the care of Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales, popularly known as the Fransalians, who have been working in the educational field for over a hundred years in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh
