🏆 A Remarkable Global Achievement | John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize 2026

We are delighted to share a moment of immense pride for *Delhi Public School, Patna East* as *Agastya Bhushan* has been *shortlisted in the Public Policy Category of the prestigious John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize 2026*.

🌍 The competition witnessed an extraordinary *100,227 contestants from 183 countries, with only the **top 17.5% of eligible essays* making it to the shortlist.

Agastya explored the question, “Which unintended consequence was most devastating and why did we fail to predict it?” His essay examined the case of *leaded gasoline*, analysing how fragmented knowledge across disciplines can prevent institutions from anticipating large-scale consequences.

Through extensive research, independent analysis, and his original conceptual framework, *“Epistemic Boundary Failure,”* Agastya presented a thoughtful and distinctive perspective on the issue.

📜 His essay was shortlisted on *7 July 2026, earning him an invitation to the **John Locke Institute Academic Conference and Awards Weekend in London, culminating in the prestigious Black Tie Awards Ceremony on **3 October 2026*, where the final results and category winners will be announced.
