It’s wild how often I see smart founders make this mistake on LinkedIn.
They show up, post consistently, even get decent engagement and yet, nothing moves.
No leads.
No DMs.
No real business.
Because they’re doing one thing wrong:
They’re treating LinkedIn like a stage, not a room.
They perform for the crowd instead of connecting with people.
I made the same mistake once. I wrote clever lines, shared frameworks, and chased likes.
It looked great on paper but it wasn’t building trust.
So I started writing differently.
I wrote to one person, not everyone.
I spoke from stories, not stats.
I cared about resonance, not reach.
That changed everything.
If you want LinkedIn to actually bring results:
1. Stop broadcasting. Start conversing.
2. Stop chasing applause. Start earning alignment.
3. Stop looking viral. Start being valuable.
Because growth doesn’t come from being seen.
It comes from being remembered.
