DAV International School, Ahmedabad, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with pride, patriotism and enthusiasm. The celebration began with Flag Hoisting and March Past, followed by the Honouring of the Chief Guest and an inspiring address.

The programme beautifully showcased the talents of our students through an Instrumental Performance, Kala Sur Sangam โ€“ Live Painting, and the vibrant โ€œAazadi Ke Rang, Nanhe Kadmo Ke Sangโ€ Dance Drama. Heartfelt speeches by Head Boy Savit Kumar, Principal Sir and the Guest added meaning to the celebration, followed by a special Felicitation Ceremony and Vote of Thanks.

Reaching for the Stars: National Space Day 2026

On the occasion of the 107th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the visionary scientist and founder of Indiaโ€™s space programme, DAV International School, Ahmedabad had the privilege of hosting an engaging Workshop on National Space Day 2026 on 12 August 2026.

Organised in collaboration with ISRO-SAC and CEE, the workshop offered our Grade 7 students an enriching opportunity to explore Indiaโ€™s remarkable journey in space science and technology.

We were honoured to have Shri Kush Arya, Shri Sambhav Nath Trivedi and Shri Dinesh Khairnar, Scientists, SAC, ISRO, as our esteemed resource persons. Their insightful interaction introduced students to ISROโ€™s significant past missions while giving them a glimpse into the exciting future of Indiaโ€™s space exploration, including ambitious missions such as Chandrayaan-4, Chandrayaan-5 and Gaganyaan.

We were equally privileged to have Shri Shreyas Sajeevan, Environment Educator & Climate Leader, join us from CEE and enrich the session with his valuable perspectives.

The curiosity, enthusiasm and questions of our young learners made the workshop truly inspiring. Such experiences go beyond the classroom, nurturing scientific temper, curiosity and the courage to dream beyond the known.

Our heartfelt gratitude to ISRO-SAC and CEE for providing our students with this wonderful opportunity to interact with experts and experience the excitement of Indiaโ€™s space journey.

As we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, may his vision continue to inspire our young minds to dream, discover and contribute to the future of India.

๐Ÿฏ International Tiger Day Celebration ๐Ÿฏ

D.A.V. International School, Ahmedabad celebrated International Tiger Day on 6/8/26 with the theme โ€œRoar for Tigers โ€“ Save Wildlife, Save Nature!โ€

Children enjoyed tiger rhymes, puppet stories, fun games, tiger facts, mask-making and other tiger-themed activities. They learned why it is important to protect tigers, forests and nature.

The celebration helped children develop love for wildlife, environmental awareness, creativity and confidence.

During the event, Amoli was part of Group 4, where she tackled the pressing issue of "Fast Fashion" and highlighted the detrimental impacts of fabric waste on sustainability.

The drill included a systematic evacuation, safe assembly, attendance and headcount, followed by an informative session on fire safety, rescue techniques, emergency response, and evacuation procedures.

Our students also learned how to operate fire extinguishers and how to respond calmly and effectively during an emergency.

โœ… Strengthen evacuation procedures
โœ… Improve coordination and communication
โœ… Build confidence and preparedness
