We are excited to announce the upcoming collaborative ‘Field-Work-Shop Lecture Series’ with ‘Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Michigan’ , exploring Ahmedabad’s Urban Transformation for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

As part of this partnership, ‘the Water_Plus Studio’ invites MLA students to a series of lectures featuring diverse voices from the fields of landscape, planning, ecology, public space, and urban transformation.

The workshop provided an invaluable opportunity to engage in collaborative design, critical discussions, and interdisciplinary learning under the guidance of Prof. Steffen Nijhuis (TU Delft) TU Delft , in collaboration with Aditya Rao Aditya Rao and Ayesha Hussain Ayesha Hussain .

Second-year M.Arch (Landscape Architecture) students will participate in an intensive four-day Design Charrette led by Prof. Steffen Nijhuis(TU Delft), in collaboration with Aditya Rao(Aditya Rao) and Ayesha Hussain.
Dates: 22nd–27th July
Venue: Landscape Studio
The workshop will introduce students to the collaborative and fast-paced design charrette format, encouraging them to explore landscape-led approaches to addressing complex urban and environmental challenges. Through site analysis, interdisciplinary discussions, iterative design, and critical reviews, participants will develop design strategies that integrate ecological systems, spatial planning, and urban design.

We’re proud to celebrate the achievement of Devi S Nair, whose project “Re-Wilding with Rain” has been shortlisted for the 2026 World Landscape Architecture (WLA) Student Awards.

The project explores how landscape can work with natural water systems to regenerate ecosystems, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful connections between people and place. Congratulations to Devi on this well-deserved international recognition!
