Assam Rifles Public School was established in the year 1987 and it was then known as Suryodaya Public School.The aim of establishing this school is to provide quality education to the children of Assam Rifles personal and local populace residing in the near vicinity. The School was affiliated to CBSE in the year 1996 and was upgraded up to Class Xll in the year 2003.The School Affiliation No. is 2

030002 and the school code is 05612.Provisional Affiliation has been extended for a further period of 5 years wef 01 Apr 2011 to 31 Mar 2016 vide Central Board of Secondary Education , Delhi Letter No. CBSE/AFF/2030002(Ex-00549-1112)/2011/290458 dated 31 Jan 2011. Mrs.C.R.Anson was the first Principal and Brig Satyendra Kumar,SM was the first Chairman. Brig V K Mishra, took over as the chairman of the school from 4th June 2012. S.S.Ray is the present Principal since 15th October 2011.
