Registration is now closed for the 26th Midrasha Mathematicae: Singular Cardinals Combinatorics.
Singular cardinals are among the most basic notions of set theory. Many properties of the set theoretic universe can be studied according to their continuity or discontinuity at the singular steps in the hierarchy of cardinals. The study of singular cardinals played a major role in combinatorial set theory, inner model theory, higher descriptive set theory, cardinal arithmetic, and more.
This workshop is aimed at both graduate students and more senior researchers who are interested in deepening their understanding of the subject.
The program will be led by General Director Peter Sarnak of IAS Princeton and organized by Yair Hayut of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Assaf Rinot of Bar-Ilan University. It will feature invited talks and tutorials by leading researchers from all over the world.
During the workshop, we will hold a special evening celebrating Menachem Magidor’s 80th birthday.
