All the triangles in place on the back of the quilt.
I think it really adds so much to the entire project.
I love using up my scrap pieces!

Well, that took much longer then I thought it would.
Finally have all my half square triangles trimmed down.
Time to get sewing!

I love a splash of color to break up a solid backing.
So, I decided to try a quilt hack that I've been seeing all over the internet. While I was making the stars for the front of the quilt, I was making half square triangles for the back!
Now to figure out how to use them!

Two great-granddaughters -- two quilt tops!
Now to work on the backings!

I decided the top needed a border to tie it all together.
Really pleased with the way it's turned out.
Hope the girls will be, too!

One more block to go!
I have been arranging and rearranging these blocks for hours, trying to make sure all of the fabric designs are evenly spaced.
Almost into the home stretch!

These block are coming together surprisingly easy.
I chose this block to highlight the center fabric and the star corners are absolutely doing the trick!
Four down, just 11 more to go!

This quilt is going to be for someone's great-granddaughter -- wasn't given many instructions, just a stack of pink and purple fabric. Found this star block that I think is perfect for showing off the center fabric.
Might have to call this quilt 'Super Stars!'

Time to start that second purple and pink quilt.
Spent a lot of time trying to work out a pattern that will show off the fabrics AND be significantly different from the first quilt.
Wish me luck!

I received this photo earlier today.
The pillow was the first of many portraits of Muffin. It was a gift for the owner of the two goldens. It was also the start of a new line for me -- pet portraits.
Always nice to see my art being enjoyed!
