Speak of the devil! This phrase refers to when you are talking about someone and they suddenly appear. It is part of a longer phrase: speak of the devil and he will appear. "Under the weather". Aren't we always under the weather in the sky? But this phrase actually means being sick. Usually it is used for minor illness. One might say "I've been under the weather" instead of saying "I've been sick".

"Break a leg!"

הביטוי "It's all downhill from here" הוא ביטוי מבלבל.
ברוב המקרים הוא משמש כדי לומר שהדברים רק ילכו ויחמירו, כמו גרף שיורד למטה. עם זאת, לפעמים הוא דווקא אומר שהדברים יהיו קלים יותר, כמו אדם שטיפס על גבעה ועכשיו הולך בירידה. ההקשר יכול לרמוז מה המשמעות הנכונה.

פירושו להתעצבן או להתרגז מאוד בגלל משהו קטן או לא חשוב.
דוגמה:
"I got bent out of shape כשעשיתי שקע באוטו שלי."
דוגמה בשלילה:
"אז שרפתי את הצ’יפס—don't get bent out of shape."

זהו ביטוי נפוץ מאוד בעולם העסקים.
המקור שלו הוא ממשחקים כמו טניס, שבהם הכדור עובר מצד לצד.

"The ball is in your court" means that in a back-and-forth exchange, it's your turn to take the next active step, and nobody can move forward until you do. This is a very common phrase in business. This comes from games like tennis where the ball passes back and forth.

לדוגמה: "עבר עליי יום נוראי." "I hear ya, man."
