Emor Project

Emor Project SHARING TORAT HAYIM – A TORAH OF LIFE | Access and understand Judaism’s wealth of knowledge, whatever your background.

In today’s world, so many Jewish resources and initiatives are available that it can often be challenging to find the information we want. EMOR aims to be an index for these resources, so that anyone, no matter their background or prior knowledge, can access and understand them. At this stage, we are working on the foundations of a structured system that will eventually allow these Torah resources to be mapped and reached in a more coherent way. In the meantime, this page highlights selected Orthodox Torah content and initiatives, helping users encounter valuable material they might not otherwise find. Our overarching goal is to broaden and deepen the Jewish people’s benefit from these precious – but scattered – Torah resources. We believe in living Jewish wisdom: Torah that speaks to modern-day issues while remaining firmly rooted in its sources.

PARASHAT BEHA'ALOTEKHA:

The Illusion of Desire
by Rabbi Chaim Richman

Rabbi Chaim Richman, founder of Jerusalem Lights, shares Torah teachings that nurture each individual’s personal faith and relationship with the Creator.

“We all live as separate human beings, created in the Divine image, yet our souls long for true connection, to unite with the great whole, the only true reality, the Creator. Jerusalem Lights works towards encouraging and aiding in global awakening, helping connect all of humanity to G-d’s redemptive process, so that all may become active participants in the Divine plan for the restoration of man’s relationship with the Creator.

Rabbi Richman’s teachings emphasize the role that each individual plays through his or her personal participation in the great, ultimate Redemption of all humanity currently unfolding before our very eyes.”

“I am Hashem your God.”

Everything flows from this.

The First Commandment isn’t a rule—it’s a truth.

If we internalized that truth fully, mitzvot wouldn’t feel like effort. They would be the natural expression of who we are.

What’s stopping us?
