Amutat Re'ut Jerusalem embodies a unique perspective about the role and responsibility of the school community in the inculcation of values such as tolerance, acceptance of people perceived as being different, and social engagement. We contend that the next generation of leaders must be developed today and accordingly have come to expect more rather than less of our youth in taking responsibility

The light of Reut Hanouka is coming up and one of its main subjects is light. We all have our own special kind of light but I wanted to talk about the light of reut, a light created by many small lights…
Reut is a pluralistic school which means that all of the students and teachers come from different backgrounds. In reut each person is a candle with full potential to become a light! But unfortunately we are not always able to see are own light, sometimes we see darkness and we let it take over.
In reut we take that darkness and gently pour light into to it, we do not push the darkness away but work with it! we help each individual realize his light, his potential. Reut is filled with a lot of different candles that all share one thing…we all share the need to be the brightest light of ourselves and to shine upon the ones who have yet to find there own.
My name is Anaelle Press
I am 13 years old, I am a new student here in reut in the 8th grade.

The fundamental principle of inclusive education is the valuing of diversity within the human community....When inclusive education is fully embraced, we abandon the idea that children have to become "normal" in order to contribute to the world....We begin to look beyond typical ways of becoming valued members of the community, and in doing so, begin to realize the achievable goal of providing all children with an authentic sense of belonging.
