🌻 We were delighted to welcome past pupil Paddy Madden back to Lakyle NS to help us create a video about growing sunflowers for sustainability and biodiversity. Our pupils did a fantastic job in front of the camera, with each child playing an important part! 🎥🌻
Paddy enjoyed revisiting the school, sharing memories with our classes and even showing us a game he used to play on the yard.
A huge thank you to Paddy Madden and Des Murtagh for a wonderful visit and a great day of learning! 💛

🎨✨Our 5th and 6th class pupils explored ‘portraiture” recently, combining striking black-and-white photographs with bright and bold backgrounds. 🌈🖌️ Each piece is unique and showcases their creativity, individuality and most importantly their beautiful smiles! 😁😁 Well done to all our budding artists! 👏🎨

💙💛 What a fantastic day at Lakyle NS!
On Monday, we were thrilled to welcome members of the Clare U20 Hurling Team and Management to our school. We are incredibly proud to be the first school they have visited with the Munster and All-Ireland cups! 🏆🏆
The excitement was electric and our pupils loved hearing about the dedication and preparation that goes into competing at the highest level, as well as picking up plenty of training tips during a Q&A session, it was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn from some of Clare’s finest sporting ambassadors. A special highlight was welcoming back former Lakyle NS pupil, Kalum Fahy, whose achievements are a great inspiration to our pupils. 🌟
A huge thank you to our Clare heroes for taking the time to visit us, answer questions, and sign autographs for our pupils. It was a wonderful occasion that inspired our children to dream big and believe that anything is possible with hard work and determination.
