On Wednesday, 23rd September, I had the pleasure of meeting Colm Byrne, CEO of SeeBeyondBorders, at the The College Green Hotel Dublin, Autograph Collection , for a warm and meaningful introductory meeting.
Seebeyondborders is doing important work to support education in Cambodia, particularly by working with teachers and school leaders to strengthen teaching, learning and educational opportunities for children. Their work contributes to creating positive and lasting change within Cambodiaโs education system.
Our discussion was very meaningful and focused on the importance of education as a foundation for Cambodiaโs future. We exchanged ideas about how we can support educational development in Cambodia, share knowledge and experience, and create stronger opportunities for cooperation between Cambodia and Ireland.
We also discussed ways in which we can promote Cambodia in Ireland โ raising greater awareness of Cambodiaโs people, culture, opportunities and potential, while creating stronger connections between communities, organisations and individuals in both countries.
As a Cambodian representative in Ireland, I believe that building these relationships is an important part of strengthening the friendship, understanding and cooperation between Cambodia and Ireland. There is much we can learn from one another, and meaningful conversations like this can be the beginning of meaningful partnerships.
I am grateful to Colm Byrne for his warm welcome and for such an open and constructive conversation. I look forward to continuing this dialogue and exploring ways we can work together to support education in Cambodia, promote Cambodia in Ireland, and build stronger bridges between our two countries. ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ค๐ฎ๐ช
