Art Kavanagh is surely one of the finest and well respect authors and historians in County Wexford and he has been involved in a number of publications. In 1997 he published a book called "Battles Of 1798 Series" which covered battles like Three Rocks, Wexford, New Ross and others. Cong is a small village in County Mayo near the border with County Galway. Cong is on the isthmus connecting Loughs Corrib and Mask. Cong was also the home of William Wilde, who was a historian and father to prominent playwright, novelist, poet, and short story writer Oscar Wilde. In 1960 a tourist booklet, full of images and interesting facts, was published by J. A. Fahy.

Charles Gavan Duffy, (12 April 1816 – 9 February 1903), was an Irish poet, politician, journalist and editor of The Nation, Young Irelander and tenant-rights activist.

Eamonn Colfer lives in Wexford Town but was originally from The Hook. He is a renounded playwright and author and his books and plays have been well received. His plays have been performed in the Opera House and other locations.
