Fracture Play YT

Fracture Play YT Tipperary Youth Theatre comprises of Play YT, which runs out of Nenagh Arts Centre and Fracture Youth Theatre run from The Source Arts Centre, Thurles.

The group coordinator and director is Joanne Quinn: Actor and Drama Facilitator, and past pupil of the Presentation Thurles. She has been working with both youth theatres since 2007. Participants take part in weekly workshops which are full of fun drama games and comedy improvisation. Each year they have the opportunity to work with professional theatre makers and technicians towards a full scale

production. Previous groups have toured to other theatres with shows and performed in festivals around Ireland. Performances take many forms for Fracture, they've worked on site specific shows, traditional theatre shows and promenade performances. The group create their own scripts or work from prewritten. Already this year, both youth theatres have completed their first short film. The theme of the film is Identity, exploring what the multiple faces people have and show in different areas of their lives. Fracture Youth Theatre meet every Saturday in the school term at the Community Space in The Source Arts Centre from 3-5pm.
