Transnational Education in LEADER Implementation 2 - Erasmus+ project LEADER is delivered in a variety of different fashions by the member states.
The project is based around the LEADER program which is a highly effective and successful model of integrated social and economic development in rural communities.

The TELI2 board held their final project meeting in Slovenia this week wonderfully hosted by LAG Razvojna agencija Kozjansko (Development Agency Kozjansko) in Šentjur.

Excellent new mapping tool developed by the NRN to promote Irish LAGs
- New NRN Local Action Group (LAGs) Interactive Map on the NRN website: http://www.nationalruralnetwork.ie/leader-map
The NRN have recently collaborated with David Kelly, Research Technologist at the Whitaker Institute, NUI Galway to create an informative interactive LAGs map of Ireland.
This freely available map outlines the geographical boundaries of each of the 29 LAGs located throughout Ireland as well as an updated list of the Implementing Partners (IPs) located in each LAG region. This ‘one-stop-shop’ map will provide those interested in accessing assistance under the LEADER Programme 2014-2020, with easy and convenient access to information about the Local Development Strategy and geographical coverage of their LAGs as well as contact details, such as email address and phone numbers. Links to each of the LAGs and IPs websites and social media pages are also embedded into this map.

An excellent social enterprise in rural Tipperary!
We were delighted to welcome Dr Shane O'Sullivan (right) Senior Project Assistant of Social Enterprise with LIT, Lucas Olmedo from Spain who is studying Social Enterprise with UCC and Maia van Twuyver from The Netherlands who is doing a PHD in Social Entrepreneurshìp at UCC and Ballyhoura Development. Shane was delighted to bring his visitors to us here in Loughmore to show them a successful social enterprise that is up and running. They loved our story and were very impressed with our co-operative.
