🎓 CAO OFFERS – HOW DOES IT WORK?

CAO offers are coming up, so here’s a quick guide for students and parents on what to expect! 👇

📅 CAO Round 1 Offers

If you receive a CAO offer, you will be able to see it through your CAO account. You should also receive an email/text notification.

✅ You can accept an offer online through your CAO account.

⏰ Make sure you accept by the deadline stated on your offer – don’t leave it until the last minute!

🤔 What if I get more than one offer?

You can receive only ONE offer from the Level 8 list and ONE offer from the Level 7/6 list in a particular round.

If you receive offers on both lists, you can accept one offer from either list – you cannot accept both.

📚 What if I don’t get my first choice?

Don’t panic! Your CAO choices are considered in the order you listed them.

You will receive the highest preference course for which you meet the requirements and points.

For example:

1️⃣ Course A – 1st choice
2️⃣ Course B – 2nd choice
3️⃣ Course C – 3rd choice

If you don’t get Course A but qualify for Course B, you may receive an offer for Course B.

🔄 What about Round 2?

If places become available after Round 1, further offers may be made in Round 2 and subsequent rounds.

If you receive an offer in a later round, you can accept it even if you previously accepted an offer from an earlier round. Your new offer will replace your previous accepted offer.

⚠️ IMPORTANT!

🔹 Check your CAO account regularly
🔹 Read your offer carefully
🔹 Check the acceptance deadline
🔹 Accept your offer online before the deadline
🔹 Remember that accepting an offer does not prevent you from receiving a higher preference in a later round

🌟 Most importantly – don’t panic if you don’t get the offer you were hoping for in Round 1. There can be movement in later rounds, and there are other routes and options available.

Best wishes to our 6th year students who will receive their Leaving Cert results tomorrow. Results are available online from 10am. Ms. Martin will be available in school from 9.45am - 11.30am if any student wishes to call in or on Teams.

Medalist! Team Ireland's Kalib Walshe has won, at least, a European U19 Championship bronze.

He boxed his 60kg quarter final against Artur Pichka of Ukraine, and had the upper hand throughout. Kalib, of Wexford CBS, boxes his semi final on Thursday.

Second win in the bag! Team Ireland's Kalib Walsh is through to the Quarter Finals of the European U19 Championships.

He was the RSC winner over Tarik Huric of Bosnia & Herzegovina following a series of standing counts.

Kalib, of Wexford CBS, boxes for a medal on Tuesday against the winner of this evening's contest between Ukraine and Georgia.
