What a wonderful day at the Lidl Ireland HO office today!
We were thrilled to personally present the well- deserved QQI Project Management Level 6 certificates to the LIDL participants who were part of our pilot group in this programme.
This remarkable collaboration between Dublin College Tallaght Cookstown and Lidl, which began last year, offers an excellent opportunity for participants to develop vital skills for effective project management.
Since last year, we have completed two programmes, with one currently ongoing and another scheduled to start in the future. Congratulations to everyone for achieving this award and seeing the smiles in the picture it looks like they were delighted to receive their certificates 😉

A warm welcome back 🙌 to our Software Development Apprentices who have returned to Dublin College Tallaght Cookstown for further off-the-job training after gaining some experience with their employers. It’s wonderful to witness their progress in this program as they acquire essential skills in software development. They will be with us until July, after which they will return to their work placements to put their newly learned skills into practice. Enjoy the course, everyone! 👌👏

A new chapter underway for our latest Carpentry & Joinery apprentices at Dublin College Tallaght Cookstown 🔨

This class has now started Phase 2 of their apprenticeship journey with instructor Stephen, beginning the next stage of their off-the-job training and skills development.

Over the coming months, they’ll build on their practical workshop skills, technical knowledge, and industry experience as they continue progressing in the trade.

We’re looking forward to supporting the group throughout their training and wish them every success along the way.

After completing our Evening Barbering course in November 2025, Emma Hanrahan went on to launch Safe Space Cuts — providing calm, home-based haircuts for children and vulnerable individuals who may struggle in traditional barbering environments.

Inspired by her own son’s experience, Emma created a service centred around patience, trust, and understanding — and the feedback from families has been incredible 💙
