Today was a special day as we celebrated our wonderful 6th class boys and wished them well as they move onto secondary school.
Our graduation ceremony was filled with music, song and happy memories. We were delighted to welcome back Zané from Music Generation Mayo who joined the children in sharing what they had learned this year with their families and friends.
We also bid farewell to our wonderful colleague, teacher and friend, Ms Donegan, who leaves us after 7 years in Carramore. We thank her most sincerely for her hard work, kindness and dedication over the years and we wish her well in her new position.
We finished the day with a lovely cake and treats - a fitting end to the celebration.

Sports Day 2026 was a day full of fun and games with great skill and sportsmanship on show. Our seniors were not concerned by the rain as they finished their cycling course with Jerry this morning, while the juniors enjoyed some less strenuous games in the classroom. We were then joined by Ciaran from North West Fitness Academy who organised lots of fitness and skills based games as well as the more traditional egg and spoon race and sack race.
We finished the day as we started it - by getting wet! A great day all round 😃 A big thank you to Jerry and Ciaran for helping us out today.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Josephine Hall. Josephine was our treasured SNA, a role in which she touched so many lives with her kindness, patience and understanding.
She will always be remembered for her boundless energy, her quick wit and her great sense of humour. Josephine left a lasting impression on everyone she met and she will be greatly missed by the entire school community.
Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Our school entrance hall has gotten a fabulous new look as our beautiful mural was completed this week. It really brightens up the entrance and reminds us of the values which we hold dear in our school. A massive thank you to our artist, Maria Sheedy for her interpretation, creativity, time and effort in ensuring the spirit of the school culture and ethos was captured in the design.

It was another busy day for the children as they got ready for a safe summer ahead. Firstly Jerry Towey from the Mayo School of Safe Cycling, delivered the first of 3 sessions of cycling training to our senior room - a beneficial session for all. Later on we welcomed Rosie from Water Safety Ireland who spoke to all the children about the importance of keeping safe around out waterways. We all learned how to put on life jackets, how to use life rings safely and lots of important safety tips. Thanks you Gerry and Rosie for sharing your expertise with us today

What a day! The sun shone down on us today as we all headed off together on our school tour to Shannon River Adventure . It was a day full of fun, excitement and new challenges as we took on obstacle courses, archery, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking and camping skills among others. Huge well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and determination in tasks and most of all for their great teamwork and kindness towards each other - you should all be proud of yourselves.
Thank you to all the wonderful instructors for your patience - we had the best day!
