💐 Wishing Fr. Casey a very happy retirement! 💐

We were delighted to welcome Fr. Casey into Scoil Mhuire na nÁird one last time to thank him for all the kindness, support and friendship he has shown our school over the years.

We loved his visits, his chats with the children, his quizzes and, of course, the many stories and laughs along the way! ❤️

Fr. Casey has been a wonderful support to our pupils and staff and has played a very special part in many important occasions and celebrations in our school over the years.

As a little reminder of his time with us, one of Fr. Casey’s retirement gifts was a Shillelagh stick – something special to remember all of us here in Shillelagh and the many happy years he spent as part of our community. ❤️

We wish Fr. Casey every happiness, good health and plenty of time to enjoy his retirement.

Thank you for everything, Fr. Casey. You will be greatly missed by us all in Scoil Mhuire na nÁird! 💐

🎶✨ Yesterday we had our wonderful Music Generation Concert with Anna! 🎤🎸

This year, our Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st Class and 2nd Class delighted us with their fantastic singing performances 🎵🎶. Our older classes have been busy learning the ukulele and proudly showcased their new skills by singing and playing along together 🎸🌟.

A huge well done to all of the children who took part in the concert 👏😊

A very special thank you to Anna for her dedication, encouragement and all the hard work she has put into working with the children throughout the year! 🤩

What a fantastic day we had at Sports Day! ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ There was great excitement with the sack race, potato and spoon race, sprint races and lots more. The children had brilliant fun, gave it their all, and cheered each other on throughout the day. Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a great success!

⛳🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️ On Thursday, our 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Class pupils enjoyed a fantastic day at Coollattin Golf Club, where they had the opportunity to put their newly developed golfing skills into practice! 🌟

Throughout the year, the children have been working with Aaron from Golfing Ireland and were delighted to be invited to this special event.

A huge thank you to Linda Dunne and the club members who generously volunteered their time to ensure everyone had an enjoyable experience.

The day finished with a well-deserved ice cream treat 🍦

🐄🚌 Junior and Senior Infants headed off on their School Tour to Kia Ora Mini Farm yesterday morning! 🌞🎒

There was great excitement as the children set off for a day full of fun and adventure. 🤩✨

The boys and girls had a fantastic time exploring the farm, meeting and interacting with a variety of animals, and enjoying lots of hands-on activities. 🐑🐐🐇🐓

They were full of smiles and enthusiasm throughout the day and created many wonderful memories with their friends. 😊

🦁🐘 1st and 2nd Class had an amazing day at Dublin Zoo today! 🌟

The children enjoyed a fascinating guided tour of the African Plains, where they learned lots of interesting facts about the animals. 🦒🦓

We then warmed up with a delicious hot meal in the Meerkat Café. 🍽️😊

After lunch, we spent some time exploring more of the zoo and visiting the playground for some extra fun. 🐒🎠

It was a fantastic day filled with learning, adventure, and lots of smiles. 😄💛 By the time we headed home, there were plenty of tired little heads on the bus after such an exciting day! 🚌

On Monday, the boys and girls from 3rd to 6th Class headed off on their school tour to Clara Lara. The sun came out for us, making a great day even better! Everyone had a brilliant time enjoying all the activities, from splashing in the water and canoeing to go-karting and crazy golf. Some even braved the famous high slide! We finished off the day with a trip to McDonald’s before heading home tired but happy. A fantastic day was had by all, with lots of fun, laughter, and memories made.

The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the woodland, taking in the beautiful surroundings, and spending time outdoors. 🌿🍃
