Birthdays in our classrooms are a wonderful invitation to pause and appreciate the unique light each child brings to our community. ✨
When a birthday arrives, we bring out the birthday bunting. The birthday child is welcome to bring in something to share, but the most meaningful gift always comes from their peers.
Gathered together, every classmate takes a moment to express an attribute they admire about the birthday child. Whether highlighting their kindness, sporting ability, quick humour, or gentle thoughtfulness towards others, it creates a beautiful circle of gratitude.
These quiet, reflective moments nurture a profound sense of belonging, ensuring every child feels truly seen and cherished by their friends.

The bright, beautiful colours of summer are gently coming to life in our classrooms. ☀️
This month, our children are celebrating the season through wonderful artistic exploration. By working with a lovely array of materials and exciting new techniques, their imaginations have truly taken flight.
From crafting magnificent hot air balloons to adding their own unique, creative spirit to classic Mona Lisa drawings, every piece reflects the joy and boundless creativity of our young learners. It is a privilege to watch them express themselves so freely and thoughtfully.
Join us in pausing to appreciate the beautiful work of our young artists!

This month, we pause to reflect on a gentle but powerful guiding light in our school community: integrity. 🌱
Integrity is the quiet choice to do what is right, even when no one is watching. It is found in our daily honesty, our consistency in showing up for one another, and our willingness to be accountable for our actions.
To explore this theme deeply, we invited our students to share what integrity means to them. Their thoughtful perspectives remind us that true growth happens when we nurture every aspect of our character, not just our academic minds.
We invite you to read a few of their wonderful reflections.
How do you honour the value of integrity in your own daily life? Share your reflections with our community in the comments. 🤍

There is a profound beauty in watching children connect with the magic of storytelling, especially when the storyteller is part of our own school family.
For Literacy Week, we had the joy of welcoming Eilish Fisher, one of our wonderful parents and a talented author, into our classrooms. She generously shared her journey as a writer and the inspiration behind her books.
Our students were thoroughly captivated. Eilish reflected on the visit, noting how deeply impressed she was by the children's enthusiasm and the incredibly thoughtful questions they asked. She shared that it was a lovely experience and that she could have happily stayed chatting with them all afternoon.
It is these shared moments of connection that truly nurture a child's holistic development and foster a lifelong appreciation for reading. We are deeply grateful to Eilish for her time, her beautiful words, and the inspiration she brought to our students.

Happy St. Paddy's Day! ☘️
Today, we celebrate the island we call home — a land of storytellers, philosophers, and dreamers. 🇮🇪
It feels only fitting that Ireland, a nation with such a rich tradition of wisdom and wonder, is also home to our school's namesake: John Scottus Eriugena, one of Ireland's greatest philosophical minds of the Early Middle Ages. A true Irishman who asked the big questions about life, the universe, and the nature of the self.
On this St. Patrick's Day, we pause — as we do every day — to feel grateful for this beautiful country, its stories, its spirit, and the wonderful community we have built here together. 🌿
To our students, families, and friends near and far — may your day be filled with joy, connection, and maybe just a little bit of delight in the present.
Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Daoibh! 💚
