Cuidiu Sleeping Bunnies Playgroup at the Grainstore

Sleeping Bunnies is a voluntary parent and toddler group that is on every Wednesday from 10 to 12 All are welcome and we would be delighted if you dropped in.

Sleeping Bunnies is a parent and toddler group and is run as a voluntary playgroup. It is suitable for parents with new babies as well as parents with toddlers. It is a time for children to play and run around while parents chat over a cup of tea/coffee. We encourage health eating and provide fruit snacks for the toddlers. The playgroup is based in the Grainstore at Ballymaloe, Shanagarry, East Co

rk and is on every Wednesday from 10am to 12noon and follows the school terms. New arrivals are always welcome. We encourage the toddlers to run and play with other toddlers at the playgroup. However, there may be times when the play gets too boisterous and in these cases parents of the toddlers involved should control the situation.

Could you help keep Sleeping Bunnies Playgroup going this September? 💚

Our lovely volunteer and committee member Emily joined us in April and is now expecting her first baby in just a few weeks. As she prepares for this exciting new chapter, we’re looking for more volunteers to help keep our much-loved playgroup running from September onwards.

Cuidiú Sleeping Bunnies Playgroup has been a special place for many families, somewhere children can play while parents connect, share experiences, and build friendships. The group takes place in the beautiful, warm, and bright Grainstore in Ballymaloe, and we’d love to keep this welcoming community space going.

✨ We’re looking for volunteers!
No special experience is needed, just a little time and willingness to help.

If a few volunteers come forward, it keeps the commitment very small and manageable for everyone. In most cases, it simply means arriving about 15 minutes early to:

Set out the toys
Put on the tea and coffee
Help sessions run smoothly

All toys are already there and ready to be set out, and each week the families attending help with tidying away toys and washing up afterwards, making the role much lighter for volunteers 💚

Volunteering is also a lovely way to:

Share experiences
Find your village 💕
