🦋 Remembering Jessica🦋
In memory of Jessica Shannon RIP, our 2nd class pupils participated in the Jessica Shannon Handwriting Memorial competition. Congratulations to our overall winner Sophia D’Auria from Ms Heneghan’s class.
Sophia received a beautiful trophy and voucher from the Shannon family. Her name is engraved on the memorial shield and Sophia’s winning handwriting is framed on the wall, along side previous winners. Well done Sophia- beautiful handwriting!

⚽️🏸🏏🏑 Celebrating Sport success in St. Comán’s Wood ⚽️🏸🏏🏑

Well done to all our sporting superstars who represented our school in Badminton, Camogie, Hurling, Boys and Girls Football and Rounders this school year. Thanks to special guest Roscommon Senior Football player Eoin Ward who presented medals to all the teams.

Congratulations to all the children and well done on a hugely successful sporting school year. We’re very proud of you all. A special thanks to Mr Hynes and all the staff of St. Comán’s Wood who gave their time so generously to promote sport in our school.

Ms Hanley’s 1st class created their own ‘diorama’- a theatrical system that uses variable lighting to give a translucent painting the illusion of depth and movement.
Such incredible, creative work by Rang a haon! Well done 1st class.

🏉’We’ll answer Ireland’s Call’🏉
Great excitement in today- we had a VERY special guest, Ireland and Connacht rugby star Darragh Murray, who visited children on the senior site, telling them all about his rugby career and training. The children asked lots of questions and got autographs and signings. Thank you so much Darragh for giving of your time and talking to our pupils. They were delighted with your visit! 🏉🇮🇪

🧢⚾️ ROUNDERS 🧢⚾️ 🏆 DOUBLE CHAMPIONS!! 🏆Our girls and boys teams were both winners in their respective finals of the Rounders Cumann na mBunscol competition today. Huge congratulations to both winning teams and to Ms Tansey and Ms Kilduff for coaching the children. A great day for St. Comán’s Wood- we’re very proud of you all! Comán’s Abú!
