We are looking for some very special people to join our ever-growing Smart Steps family this summer 🥰

As we prepare to open our new service at St. Aengus N.S., Bridgend, we are now recruiting:

⭐️ School Age Childcare Practitioners

This is a fantastic opportunity for caring, reliable and enthusiastic people to join a well-established organisation that champions children’s development through play, positive relationships and child-led experiences.

We are especially interested in hearing from applicants with experience or qualifications in childcare, school-age care, early years, education, youth work, sports coaching, special needs support or other child-focused roles.

📍 Location: St. Aengus N.S., Bridgend
⏰ Hours: 20–26 hours per week during term time, with additional hours available out-of-term
💶 Pay: From €15+ per hour, negotiable depending on experience
📅 Closing date: Friday 26th June 2026

We have interview slots available next week for applicants who apply before Friday 22nd May.

Applicants who submit an application before Friday 22nd May will be offered an interview time between 10:00am and 1:30pm on Saturday 23rd May at the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny.

We will also be holding a drop-in interview session on the same day from 2:00pm to 5:00pm for anyone interested in Bridgend positions or upcoming summer work opportunities with Smart Steps.

Our popular school age childcare provision will be available year round for busy families, offering Breakfast Club, Afterschool and School Holiday care for the children of the Bridgend community and beyond!
