This week we had wonderful emergent curriculum when one of our children spoke about how she was going on a train on Saturday with her family. It sparked conversation with another child adding how both his mam and dad work in the train station. We listened to the children and their interest in railway transport and were able to bring them on a trip from limerick Colbert station to Limerick Junction. It was a wondeful experience and most of the kids first time on a train and the excitement was huge. We learned about the trains during the week did some arts and craft and built our own railway around the school. We spoke with the children about what to expect when we got to the station and it was really great to bring the classroom curriculum to life with this experience. Thank you to all involved to help make this happen.
