Achievement Through Liberal Arts & Sciences ATLAS helps high-achieving, first generation students prepare for college, emphasizing a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences.

ATLAS Education (Achievement Through Liberal Arts & Sciences) is a partnership program that helps high-achieving, low-income, first generation students prepare for college. We pair high schools with local colleges to help high school students supplement their education with college-entrance exam preparation, essay writing, and identification of funding sources. Students attend monthly classes on t

heir local college campus that focus on aspects of the college application process and develop individualized plans to enable them to be accepted at competitive college and universities. Furthermore, our preparation helps our participants develop the skills they need to succeed in college once they are admitted. Our mission is to provide high-achieving, first-generation students with the skills they need to successfully apply to and pay for a liberal arts and sciences education.

Did you hear?! The UNC Board of Governors voted to extend the standardized testing waiver for students applying for admission through Fall 2024.
This means it’s optional for students to submit ACT/SAT test scores to all 16 public universities across the UNC system.
