Pupils from third to sixth class at the school received the Top Teams Award for their business project, Whipper Whopper, a cushioned livestock-herding stick designed for use by farmers.

*Massive congratulations to our school team on their fantastic achievement today, winning the Cumann na mBunscol Final and making it four titles in a row for Newtowngore! 🏆🏆🏆🏆*

They showed tremendous determination, skill, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the game and have once again done themselves, their families, the school and the community proud. To win four consecutive titles is a remarkable achievement and one that will be remembered for many years to come.

A sincere thank you to our coaches Bobby and Shane for all the time and effort they have invested in the team throughout the year. Your encouragement, guidance and dedication have played a huge part in this success.

Thank you to Gorby's pub for supplying the food after the game. Finally, thank you to everyone involved in organising today's final, and making it such a special occasion.
