The World Junior and Children's Championships were held in Lodi, Italy, from 11-13 April.
Ireland entered seven athletes from Bao, Newbridge, Monasterevin Tigers and Kilcullen Dragons.
The Tao Quyen Synchronised Team came in third place, bringing Ireland three bronze medals. The team consisted of Larisa Tărău and Ruby Moore from Monasterevin Tigers and Lucia Estevez Glaz from Kilcullen Dragons.
Congratulations to the other members of the Irish team: Ilaria Oglinzeanu and Bianca Comsa from Bao Newbridge, Stefan Blanaru from Monasterevin Tigers and Nikola Chmura from Kilcullen Dragons. They performed well but the competition was fierce and they did not manage to win a medal.
Congratulations to the team and thanks to the parents who supported the trip to Italy, and thanks to all the children from the three clubs who helped their colleagues in the pre-competition period.

2 days later then planned after our original flight was cancelled we have made it onto our flight to France. Thank you everyone for your support in getting us this far.

Please help if you can! Due to French strikes our flight this morning was cancelled. 😓 We are trying to find another way to travel to Paris but it is so expensive so if you can help the 20 kids who have their bags packed, ready to go, they would really appreciate it!! It will be heartbreaking for them to miss out on this huge opportunity to take part in the European Championship. They have trained so hard for this, fitting in extra training whenever possible.
Let's get them to France!! 🥰🤞Thanks everyone.
