Senior Prefect Induction
Well done to our 2026–27 Senior Prefect Team who completed their induction this week!

The team took part in an inspiring leadership workshop with rugby player Emma Lackey, embracing every challenge and developing their leadership skills along the way.

We look forward to a great year as they continue to grow as leaders and as a team.

It was wonderful to welcome our students back into school to celebrate this special milestone with them. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and all that you have achieved.

Each year, the Irish Second-Level Students’ Union (ISSU), Institute of Guidance Counsellors (IGC), National Parents Council (NPC) and Department of Education and Youth work together to provide the National Parents and Students Leaving Certificate Helpline.

The Helpline opens on Leaving Certificate Results Day – Friday 21 August and is staffed by professional and experienced guidance counsellors.

Students and parents can get practical information and support on:

📱 The text service is also continuing for 2026, alongside the traditional phone service. It gives students and parents another way to get support, particularly for anyone who feels more comfortable starting the conversation by text.

Whether you’re waiting for your own results or supporting a young person through Results Week, you don’t need to have every answer in advance. If something is unclear, the Helpline is there to help you understand the options and work out what comes next.

Huge congrats to TY student Éabha Brennan who represented the Holy Family Secondary School and Ireland, in the Catholic Schools FISEC-FICEP Games in Budapest, Hungary this weekend.
The participating countries included Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Czechia, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Spain.
Éabha safely qualified for the 400m final, winning her heat.
In the final she powered through the first 200m and was on the shoulder of the leader as they rounded into the final bend.
The top 2 pulled away from the field and Éabha was rewarded with a super silver medal and a massive pb, dipping under the 57 second barrier for the first time with a brilliant pb of 56.89.
We are so proud of you Éabha!
