Today we talked about giving and receiving β what we like more, how it feels in the body, and why giving often brings the biggest joy π€
We had Christmas yoga with festive poses, lots of fun mindful games, positive affirmations, and one serious challengeβ¦
Building the tallest tower from all the yoga blocks in the studio!
And of course β art time ruled again π¨
The kids even chose their favourite music while creating, because itβs the little things that matter most.
Christmas energy is slowly filling the room β¨
And because art time always rules in our classes, I decided to create 2-hour workshops on Sunday 14th, where weβll have plenty of time for the best arts & crafts in our yoga studio, with little breaks for yoga, breathwork, and mindful games.

Happy to confirm that Iβll be running a special Christmas Yoga & Mindfulness Workshop for kids before Christmas π
It will be 2 hours of magical yoga and mindfulness, filled with creativity, movement and calm. Children will enjoy art & crafts and bring home their own beautiful Christmas creations, take part in gentle breathwork, storytelling, mindful games, music and movement.
The main themes of the workshop will be loving-kindness and gratitudeπ©·π
We keep this workshop small and cosy to create a truly special atmosphere, so there are only 10 spots available.
A sibling discount is also available.

β¨ Why We Train Both Brain Hemispheres in Kidsβ Yoga β¨
Working with both brain hemispheres is one of the most powerful gifts we can offer children. When kids move, cross the midline, focus on balance, and use their non-dominant side, their brain builds stronger, faster and more flexible connections.
And trust me β children feel the difference. They become calmer, more confident, and more coordinated.
π§ Why it matters:
Encourages better focus and attention
Supports emotional regulation
Strengthens coordination and body awareness
Boosts creativity and problem-solving
Helps with reading, writing and school skills
Builds resilience and confidence (βI can do it!β)
π§ββοΈ Simple brain-balancing exercises we use in class:
Cross-body movements (touching opposite knee/elbow, marching, cross-crawls)
Eagle pose (lots of crossing = amazing for the brain!)
Tree pose (balance + focus = both hemispheres working together)
Drawing or painting with both hands
Using the non-dominant hand for simple tasks
Twists and side stretches
Breathing patterns that coordinate body and mind
These playful activities help children feel grounded, centred, and ready to learn. And they love them β because their brains love being challenged in gentle, mindful ways.
Always proud of these little yogis. They grow stronger in every direction. πΏππ§

Every stretch needs a balance πΏ
After our backbends we always rest in Childβs Pose β to let the spine relax and the body return to calm. π
Yoga teaches children that every effort deserves rest.
But here, itβs more than that β we breathe, have fun, and express our creativity. β¨π
