Our lovely play centre arrived today from . It looks amazing and the children did not waste anytime playing on it once installed.
Watching all our children from infants to 5th class playing together on it is just so special to see!!🥹

We had a wonderful day with Annette from . We went on a lovely walk to Sailor's Garden and discovered lots of beautiful floral and fauna, including cowslip, irish bluebells, speedwell, horsetail,garlic mustard, gorse along with frogs, ladybirds, swans,coots and many more. We also think we discovered an otter's slide. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep to discover and enjoy. We love to see how Sailor's Garden's flora and fauna changes with the passing of the seasons. Thanks again to Annette for a very informative visit.

Another big day in St. Mary's National School Finea , congratulations to Harry who recieved his First Holy Communion last Sunday. We are so proud of you Harry. The ceremony was beautiful; the readings and prayers were read brilliantly, the singing and music was lovely. Thank you to everyone who helped in making this day so special.

The children used natural materials and created some beautiful clay pieces that represent our school to decorate our May Bush. It will be on display in Castlepollard at The Castlepollard May Festival.

Last week one of our students asked could they run a book club every week for the remainder of the year and of course we said...ABSOLUTELY!

The first session of our Student-Led Book Club was a huge success. We loved hearing about everyone's books and why they loved to read them. Looking forward to next week already!

We had lots of fun with our lego play. Each child had a role to play on each team. There was super team work displayed and the teams created some lovely pieces ! Children very easily incorporated their maths talk here and STEM skills and most importantly, had lots of fun together.

A big Congratulations to Harry who made his First Confession today. We had a lovely ceremony and we are all very proud of you.
Also a big thank you to Finn and his Mammy for baking the lovely goodies for us all to enjoy after.
