25th Annual Vintage Afternoon

Our 25th Annual Vintage Afternoon was a tremendous success, with a fantastic turnout on the day. We were delighted to welcome vintage enthusiasts from across Cork, along with many visitors from Kerry and further afield. This year's event was generously supported by IRD Duhallow – Day of the Region.
It is a credit to the many tractor, car and vehicle owners who dedicate so much time, effort and expense to preserving and maintaining their treasured vehicles. We are always delighted to see exhibitors travelling from near and far to take part. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with so many exhibitors throughout the day. Thank you for your continued support and for helping to make the event such an enjoyable occasion for everyone. Our venue continues to be a favourite among both exhibitors and visitors, who enjoy not only the displays but also the wonderful social atmosphere.
We are deeply grateful to Cullen GAA and Pat Quinn for the use of their excellent grounds and facilities. The warm hospitality, including the much-loved tea and delicious báirín breac, gave everyone the opportunity to sit, relax, chat, share stories and compare notes while enjoying wonderful musical entertainment. The afternoon began with a lively performance from a talented local trad group, followed by the ever-popular Peter Lane, whose music created a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day. As a small token of our appreciation, each exhibitor received a souvenir multi-tool and a car air freshener.
There was plenty of entertainment for the younger visitors too. Children enjoyed face painting by Aileen Power, magic and balloon modelling by Steve Mills, and a variety of inflatables supplied by Kevin Collins. The Lucky Dip and raffles were a big hit, while the children's sports were overseen by Derry Morley, ensuring plenty of fun and laughter for all the young participants throughout the afternoon.
We also hosted a Teddy Bears' Picnic, which was enjoyed by many families, and we were delighted to welcome Duhallow West First Responders who generously gave demonstrations and chatted with attendees about the important work they do in our community.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors, supporters, exhibitors, organisers, stewards, volunteers, media partners, PPP Forge, The Corkman newspaper and C103, whose continued support helped make the day such a wonderful success. A special word of thanks also to John Tarrant, Phil Sullivan, Seanie Radley and Michael O'Mahony for their valued assistance in promoting our event. Without your generosity, hard work and dedication, this event simply would not have been possible.
The support and commitment shown by everyone involved in the Vintage Afternoon goes a long way towards improving the lives of our friends with special needs.
We also take this opportunity to remember with gratitude those who have helped and supported the Vintage Afternoon year after year, especially those who are sadly no longer with us. Their contribution and legacy remain a valued part of our association.
The list of people to thank is endless and, while we cannot mention everyone individually, you know who you are.
