ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our energetic team in Mallow to help support, guide, and supervise primary school children after their school day.
• 🚫 No childcare qualifications needed
• 🩹 Full training & First Aid certification provided

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• 🧩 Supervise children safely in a structured environment.
• 🎨 Lead engaging indoor activities, crafts, and games.
• 🏃‍♂️ Coordinate fun and active outdoor play sessions.
• 📚 Assist children with basic homework tasks.
• 🧹 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe space.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR
• 👶 Experience working or volunteering with children is a plus.
• 💬 Great communication skills and an approachable personality.
• 🤝 Reliable team player mindset with strong time management.
• 📜 Garda Vetting completion is required before starting.

Last week was all about bugs and creepy crawlies. We used this as an opportunity to have lots of sensory fun digging for worms and practised our fine motor skills for big school. The children created some great art work to take home.

This week we read lots of great fairytale stories and did lots of art and baking activities. The children made the Gingerbread Man to take home and enjoy. They each made their own crowns and designed them with jewels and stickers. We made the Three Little Pigs houses and did lots of dress up games.

We are very lucky to have Ali with us on placement from UCC for the last couple of weeks. She created this fabulous tuff tray based on the children's interests for one of her assignments recently. It was really well received by the children and the interactions were fantastic. It held the Children's attention for a very long time and lots of fun was had.

We had a very special visitor this morning who hopped in to drop off treats for our kids. The excitement was through the roof.

This morning Alice our local school lollipop lady came in to discuss with the children the importance of holding hands and crossing the road safely. The children asked some great questions and practised crossing the road, looking left and right and waiting for our adult to cross safely. Alice helped the children practice to be lollipop people and help their friends cross the road. We had lots of fun. A great big thank you to Alice for her time and patience.

We had some very special visitors this morning. Special thanks to Simon and Pat from the National Ambulance Service who came to talk to the children about their very important job and let us take a tour of the Ambulance. The children were delighted with the experience and the stickers. 🚑🚑🚑
